Deaths Calls Woman of 89 After Useful Life

Mrs. W. P. Henderson * passed peacefully away last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Stober, northeast of Randolph. She had made her home with her daughter for some time, passing the evening of her life under the loving care that only a devoted daughter can give.

Nancy Monorcas Wilcox was born near Estelville, Va., and after a brief illness, passed from this life Feb. 2, aged 89 years, 10 months and 17 days. Her parents moved to Jefferson City, Mo., when she was a small child. Here both parents died leaving her to the care of relatives until she was able to earn her own living. She moved to Davis County, Iowa, in 1849 and was united in marriage to Robert A. Henderson on Feb. 12, 1863. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Martin Stober, William P. Henderson and Mrs. Wm. Yost.

Besides her three children, she leaves nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren to mourn her passing.

She was a kind and gentle mother and for 60 years had been a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church. She waited far into the evening of life's day before God called her home, but she went not in the dark for Christ was her life.

Funeral services were held at the Stober home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Carmony. Burial was made in the Randolph cemetery.

* Newspaper Error: W.P. Henderson was her son. She was the wife of Robert A. Henderson
