Bever Family

My knowledge of the family begins with George Bever, who was possibly born in Rockingham Co, Virginia, on 25 March, 1800. He had at least one brother, Solomon. The family may have come from Germany and spent time in Pennsylvania, because Family Tradition suggests that they were "Pennsylvania Dutch". The old (1848) Bible that has been passed down to me is in German.

George Bever married Sabina Bretz (born 15 Nov 1802), and they had eleven children: Alice Ann, Solomon, Susannah, Melissa Ann, Samuel, Joseph, Henry, Gideon George, Sabina Adaline, Sarah Ann, and Amanda. Their sixth child, Joseph, was my great-great grandfather.
